Followed by Sister-In-Law Meerkat.
And Bridesmaid K.
Then I heard Sol asking everyone to follow her. Being awesome like she is, she thought to grab everyone before they could separate out and lined us all up on the stairs of the main papala for a group photo.
Then we all moved down to the lounge area, set up on the beach, for more hugs and some real Mexican margaritas.
Father-In-Law Meerkat was sweet enough to pass me one right from the start. Isn't he great? :P
Followed, of course, by a big hug for his new daughter-in-law.
While we never planned to have a standard receiving line, in essence that is what happened. Mr. Meerkat and I stood in one place while everyone came over to congratulate us.
The next few minutes went by in a big blur.
I can remember vividly Sister Meerkat and Mama Meerkat giving us both huge hugs and telling us how happy they were.
And Mr. Meerkat's grandfather giving me a huge hug.
Then whispered in my ear, as a joke, something about there was no escaping now.
And I remember Mr. Meerkat's grandmother giving us both huge hugs.
I look at these pictures of Nonni Meerkat and I can see how much love she has for both of us.
I don't think she could have made me feel anymore welcomed into my few family.
